Tooth Paste
1. Use the Right Amount:
Squeeze a pea-sized amount of toothpaste onto your toothbrush. Using too much toothpaste is unnecessary for effective cleaning.
2. Wet Your Toothbrush:
Wet your toothbrush with water before applying the toothpaste. This helps in spreading the toothpaste more evenly across your teeth.
3. Brush Your Teeth:
Hold your toothbrush against your teeth and brush using a gentle, circular or back-and-forth motion. Pay attention to all surfaces of your teeth, including the fronts, backs, and chewing surfaces. Brush for at least two minutes, twice a day, morning and night.
4. Brush Your Tongue and Gums:
Don't forget to gently brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth. Plaque and bacteria can also accumulate on these surfaces, leading to bad breath and other oral issues.
5. Spit, Don’t Rinse:
After brushing, spit out the toothpaste, but don’t rinse your mouth immediately with water. This allows the fluoride in the toothpaste to continue protecting your teeth even after brushing.
6. Floss and Use Mouthwash:
After brushing, it's important to floss between your teeth to remove plaque and food particles that your toothbrush might not reach. Additionally, using mouthwash can kill bacteria and freshen your breath.
